This Privacy Policy explains how The Etcetera Companies LLC, doing business as RateRebel ("RateRebel," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use theraterebel.com and our related services (the "Service"). RateRebel is a lead-generation and matching service — not an insurance company, agent, or broker. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us when you complete our form, including: name, address, ZIP code, email, phone number, date of birth, gender, marital status, driver's-license status, driving history, vehicle details, current and requested insurance coverage, homeownership, credit-rating range, and similar details used to match you with insurance options.

Information collected automatically, such as IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring URLs, and interactions with the form, via cookies and similar technologies.

Consent and verification records, including the consent language you agreed to, timestamps, session length, and third-party verification certificates (for example, TrustedForm and Jornaya LeadiD) used to document your request and consent.

Information from third parties, such as our marketing sources, data and verification providers, and partners.

2. How we use information

• To match you with, and transmit your information to, insurers, agents, and marketing partners who may contact you about insurance and related offers;
• To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service;
• To detect and prevent fraud and verify lead quality and consent;
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms;
• For our own marketing, where permitted.

3. How we share and sell information

This is core to how the Service works. When you submit the form, we share and/or sell the information you provide to third-party insurance carriers, agents, and marketing partners so they can contact you about options. We also share information with service providers (hosting, analytics, verification, communications) and as required by law, in connection with a business transfer, or to protect rights and safety.

Because we transfer your information to partners who may pay for it and who use it for their own marketing, this constitutes a "sale" and/or "sharing" of personal information under certain state laws. You can opt out — see Section 6 and our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.

4. Your consent to be contacted

By submitting the form and agreeing to our consent language, you authorize RateRebel and its insurance and marketing partners to contact you — including by automatic telephone dialing system, prerecorded or artificial voice, and text — at the number you provided, even if it is on a state or federal Do-Not-Call list. This consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You may revoke your consent at any time, as described in Section 6.

5. Cookies and tracking

We and our partners use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Service, measure performance, and support marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Where required, we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

6. Your choices and rights

Opt out of calls and texts: reply STOP to any text, ask a caller to stop, or email [email protected] to be added to our internal Do-Not-Call list. We honor opt-out requests made by any reasonable means within the timeframes required by law. Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising. Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws — including California (CCPA/CPRA), Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Washington — may exercise the rights described in Section 6. We will verify your request as required by law and respond within the applicable timeframes.

We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes in this Policy, comply with legal and recordkeeping obligations (including consent records), resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is intended for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
